Iran in Venice twelfth Biennial of Architecture

"Mahan garden" in Kerman
In an interview with visual arts reporter of Fars news agency, Mahmud Shaluee, the director of visual arts department of the Ministry of Guidance spoke about the opening of Venice twelfth biennial of architecture next month and said: This biennial will begin on August 26 in Venice, Italy with the participation of 63 countries.
Pointing to the participating countries in this biennial he said: Countries like Russia, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgian, Brazil, Canada, France, Japan, Finland, America, Greece, Ireland, Malaysia, Poland, Portugal, Korea, Switzerland, China, Hungry are among the participating countries. This is the first time that our country has been officially invited to this biennial.
In relation to the works which our country will present in this biennial Shaluee explained: The Museum of Contemporary arts of Tehran will present 46 plans and pictures of Persian Gardens. The pictures will be displayed with a conceptual work by Mojtaba Kalhor, a teaching professor of architecture at Venice University. Kalhor will participate in the biennial as the deputy commissioner of Iran.
The director of visual arts department then added: The Persian gardens which will be presented in this biennial are, Qavam in Shirz, Fin in Kashan, Mahan in Kerman, Dolatabad in Yazd and Chehel Sotoun in Esfahan.
Shaluee also said that the biennial will continue for three months and the participating countries will present various programs during this period. Our program includes showing documentary films on Persian Gardens, as well as holding round tables and discussions about the maps of these gardens and also various workshops which are going to be held in the permanent space of exhibitions allocated to Iran in Venice.
